First open your browser of choice, I will use Chrome for this. We will be installing ProtonVPN, they are fast, trusted, and easy to use. Go to the ProtonVPN sign up page at account.protonvpn.com/signup

Enter your email your email to create an account, and press 'Start Using ProtonVPN'

It will create your account, then suggest a password you can save in your password manager

Or you can set a custom password, I will set a custom one by clicking 'Choose my own password'

Once done click 'set new password', it will now create your account.

You will now be at your dashboard, in the top left click account

Scroll down and disable all the email subscriptions

Now click on the link for your browsers store

Click add extension, for chrome it will be 'add to chrome' in the far right

Once added, it will popup with some next steps to take, we will start with step 1

In the top right of your browser click the extension icon, and next to ProtonVPN click the 3 dots, then click the 'Pin To Toolbar' button

Now click the ProtonVPN extension in the top right, when it pops up, click sign in.

Sign in with the info for the account you made earlier, it will then say your signed in

Now click on the ProtonVPN icon in the top right, and click the big purple connect button

You will now be connected to the VPN!!

To disconnect, just press disconnect.

If you want to download ProtonVPN for your other devices, like your phone, you can go to protonvpn.com/download.

Additionally, ProtonVPN has a paid plan if you want more locations, and to be able to select your location.

You can test that you are connected by going to a website such as ip.me
