When you connect to a website, your ISP can see who you are, and where your going aswell as the website

When you connect to something with a VPN, your ISP only sees you are using a VPN but cannot see where you are going. And the website does not know who you are and only knows a VPN accessed it. But If that VPN server keeps logs of where you go, if that server gets taken and whoever is looking at it, (Government, etc) they are going to see everything you did. So I have made sure all these do not keep logs.

Nothing here is sponserd, no affiliate links, nothing

First VPN: Windscribe - No log, has a great free tier with torrenting, and if you want to upgrade to something better you can get unlimited data and 2 premium countries (You can use all premium locations in a country) for $3 a month with their build a plan.

Second VPN: Proton VPN - If you already have a premium Proton plan use thier vpn, no log, and secure core. Secure core routes your traffic into a privacy respecting country first, then to the location of your choosing. Abit more on the pricey side.

Third VPN: Mullvad VPN - Haven't tried yet but still liked by the VPN community, no log, around $5 unlimited plan per month.
